Oregon Motorcycle Driver’s License
Motorists in Oregon must obtain a motorcycle driver’s license or a motorcycle instruction permit in order to operate a motorcycle and you are not required to get a permit before applying for an motorcycle endorsement. A motorcycle instruction permit allows a motorcycle operation during daylight, under the supervision of a licensed motorcycle driver who is at least 21 years old. The supervisor must be in visual contact with the permit holder. To get a motorcycle instruction permit, applicants must apply in person in any DMV office in Oregon. Applicants must complete the following requirements:- Be a resident of or domiciled in Oregon
- At least 16 years old
- Provide proof of identity and address
- Have held a regular Oregon driver’s license
- Pass the vision test.
- Pay the testing and issuance fees.
- Not have suspended or revoked driving license in Oregon or any other state.
- Complete a Driver License/Identification Card Application
- Pass the motorcycle endorsement knowledge test. Study the Oregon Motorcycle and Moped Operating Manual
