The Gateway Community College in New Haven and North Haven, Connecticut offers the Connecticut Rider Education Program. This motorcycle driving school offers Basic Rider Course for $200 and Experienced Rider Course for $85. Both courses fall under the continuing education program of the college. Since the Connecticut Rider Education Program is a statewide program directed by the CT Department of Transportation (DOT), the Manchester Community College offers the Basic Rider Course and the Intermediate Rider Course programs. The MSTC of New England located on Excalibur Boulevard, Plainfield is a State-approved motorcycle safety class provider. According to their official website, MSTC is for people with little or no experience riding motorcycles and those with hundreds of hours who want to learn how to ride better and safer. North Western CT Community Tech College

This motorcycle riding school offers Connecticut Motorcycle Rider Course programs at both Winsted and East Granby locations. They offer Basic Rider Course for novice riders and Experienced Rider Course for those who want to enhance their motorcycling skills. Quinebaug Valley Community College

Connecticut Basic Rider Course and Experienced Rider Course are both available at Quinebaug Valley Community College. This courses offer expert instructions for both beginner and expert riders. Successful completion of this course will fulfill the requirements of the State-approved novice rider course for motorcycle licensing, leaving only the written test to be taken. The Quinebaug Valley Community College offers motorcycle training in five locations: Killingly, Norwich, Colchester, Groton and Groton Airport. Tunxis Community College

The Tunxis Community College in Connecticut is the winner of the National Motorcycle Safety Foundation’s Outstanding Community Training Sponsor award. The college offers a Connecticut Motorcycle Rider course which is the largest program in the state. Expert instructions are given to both beginners and experienced riders. A graduate of this program will be exempted from the Motor Vehicle Department’s on-cycle test. They have locations in Farmington, Fairfield, and Stratford. Classes are offered from April to October in cooperation with the State Department of Transportation’s Office of Highway Safety.
