New York Motorcycle Riding Schools

In New York, it is a common occurrence to see motorcyclists riding upstate or downtown.  If you wanted to be one of the Empire State Riders, then enroll at a motorcycle riding school and learn how to ride a motorcycle in a safe place with a good teacher.

Northern NY Driving Academy offers both Basic Rider and Experienced Rider courses. The BRC is the alternative to the DMV road test and is intended for new riders with little or no experience. Upon completion of the course, students will receive a completion card that will waive their written and on-cycle test for motorcycle licensing in NY.

Smart Rider Motorcycle Safety Program (http://www.smartridermsp.com/default.aspx)


All New York State residents who want to learn how to ride a motorcycle and want to get a motorcycle license permit can enroll at Smart Rider Motorcycle Safety Program where you will learn the basics of motorcycling. They offer the Basic Rider Course and Experienced Rider Course to riders of different skill levels.  They also have the privilege of providing new riders with their NYSMSP Road Test Waiver upon completion of the course. Smart Rider training sites are located at:

The Tramas.com Motorcycle Training offers Motorcycle Safety Foundation’s safety courses such as the Basic Rider Course, Basic Rider Course 2 and the Advanced Rider Course. All courses are approved by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation and are taught by expert and certified instructors.
