Basic Introduction to Motorcycle Operation: You’ll start with a simple overview of motorcycle operation, including how to start, stop, accelerate, brake, turn corners safely, and navigate on different road surfaces. The course is designed for beginners or those who haven’t ridden motorcycles before. No Big Hurdles or Complex Skills: The pace will be gentle to help you build confidence gradually. You’ll learn essential skills without feeling overwhelmed by complicated maneuvers that require advanced experience. Slower Pace for Maximum Confidence Building and FUN: With a slower learning curve, you’ll have ample time to practice each skill at your own pace, ensuring you feel comfortable before moving on to more challenging tasks. Very Small Class Sizes Means Greater Interaction with RiderCoaches: Their small class sizes (typically limited to four riders per class) allow for personalized attention from their experienced instructors. This ensures a supportive and engaging learning environment tailored just for you. Experienced RiderCoaches Trained to Provide You the Best Experience Possible: The instructors at TEAM Arizona are highly trained and experienced in teaching motorcycle safety and skills, ensuring that your experience is both enjoyable and effective. TEAM Arizona Provides the Motorcycle or scooter (available upon request), a Helmet, and Gloves.* Their program includes access to motorcycles or scooters for practice. If you’re interested in purchasing one upfront, we can provide you with a helmet and gloves at no additional cost. Total Duration: The course lasts approximately 4 hours, split between classroom instruction (1.5 hours) and practical riding time on the motorcycle (2.5 hours). WHAT IS REQUIRED TO ATTEND THIS COURSE in Gilbert? All riders must wear: A 3/4 or full face helmet (they will provide one to use, but you’re welcome to bring your own if you have it). Eye protection (if the class is at night, clear eye protection like safety glasses would be necessary; they’ll provide these for you if needed). Clothing requirements: A long sleeve shirt or jacket. Sturdy pants (at a minimum, denim). Sturdy over-the-ankle footwear (not canvas)— they recommend sturdy boots to keep your feet secure while riding safely on uneven surfaces. Full-finger gloves (they will provide these for use during the course; you’re welcome to bring your own if you have them). Important Note: You must be able to balance a two-wheeled bicycle before attempting motorcycle riding in this course, as it’s essential to build confidence and control on two wheels. Additionally, participants must be at least 15 years and 6 months old, but prior experience is required for those under 16.
