CT Basic Rider Course
The CT Basic Rider course is a comprehensive motorcycle training program designed for beginners who lack prior motorcycle experience. This motorcycle course combines traditional classroom instruction with online self-guided eCourse learning and hands-on practical range training, all focused on delivering essential motorcycle safety skills. The core of the program involves approximately 3-5 hours of classroom learning, 3-5 hours of self-paced online study, and a crucial 10 hours of range training, equipping students with the knowledge and practical abilities needed to operate a motorcycle safely and confidently. To participate in this motorcycle class, prospective students must meet several requirements, including a valid driver’s license, physical fitness to operate a motorcycle, be at least 16 years old, and demonstrate the ability to balance on a two-wheeled vehicle. Students are also required to have access to a computer, printer, and internet connection, as well as provide their own appropriate safety gear, including a full-face, ¾, or half-helmet meeting DOT certification standards, eye protection, long-sleeved shirts or jackets, full-fingered gloves, long, ankle-length pants, and leather boots or athletic shoes.
